Eyebrow microblading in London

Preparing for Your First Microblading Session

So, you have heard about microblading and fancy ditching the pencil for an easier, more natural-looking brow. After booking your appointment and discussing any concerns with your technician, it's time to prepare for your treatment. See Is Microblading Right for You?

There are several rules to follow to make sure your microblading experience is positive and you get the results you're looking for. Before your appointment, it's important that you:

  • 1. Don't drink alcohol for 24-48 hours or don't drink coffee for at least two hours before
  • 2. Don’t take aspirin or ibuprofen for 48 hours before - and of course, get permission from your doctor to do so

What to expect from your treatment

Firstly, your stylist will discuss which shape you'd like for your brows and what best suits you. If you haven't had much luck with drawing your ideal shape, or your eyebrows have suffered over-plucking, your stylist will help. They will craft a new brow shape using conventional makeup - based on your face structure. Your ideal shape will be fashioned using a specialised protractor-like tool - and you will have the final say on their recommendation.

Before any microblading can take place, your stylist will tweeze your eyebrows to remove any excess hairs that lay beyond your new brow shape. If you are trying to preserve your brow hairs we can work with that as well.

Although microblading isn't a painful process, it can cause some discomfort, so numbing cream is used to make the treatment as comfortable as possible. The cream is applied to your eyebrows and the surrounding area and left for up to 15 minutes. During this time, you can discuss which colour/shade you'd prefer and what your stylist recommends.

As with having your eyebrows tinted, the initial colour will appear a bit darker than expected immediately after microblading. However, this will fade to your desired colour within 10 days.

Semi Permanent Eyebrows

Before And After

Semi permanent makeup expert

Our lead technician Tracey has over 18 years’ experience in the semi permanent makeup industry.

"Tracey was simply amazing. She transformed my eyebrows and the look of my face. So happy, can't wait until everything has healed :) I would recommend her to anyone considering permanent makeup." Julie Angerer, February 2018.

Semi permanent makeup can fade

It is natural for semi permanent makeup to fade over time. Natural Enhancement are committed to creating results that clients are happy with.

We advise our clients that their semi permanent eyebrows will last around 12 to 18 months. This will depend on several factors such as skin type and the shade of pigment.

Semi permanent eyebrows will gently fade over time which is why we recommend regular touch-ups from our technicians to keep your brows looking sharp and fresh.

Looking after your new eyebrows

Much like a tattoo, your eyebrows will undergo light flakiness during the healing process. This is completely normal. It's important not to pick at your brows - no matter how tempted you might be - and allow them to heal naturally.

Wash your eyebrows every morning and evening with water and gently pat them dry. Don't worry, this won't remove the pigment. For optimum results, it's advised that you avoid the following:

  • Facials, Botox and peels for up to four weeks
  • Long, hot showers for 7 days
  • Direct sun for two week
  • Heavy Exercise for one week
  • Swimming for 14 days
  • Make-up or skincare on your eyebrows until they've healed

Roughly 6-8 weeks after your first treatment, you'll be invited back for a top-up session to make any minor adjustments
