General After Care For All Medical Treatments

Some redness, light swelling and tenderness for 48 hours.

Apply an antiseptic ointment 2-3 times per day for one week.

Avoid for two weeks:

• Soaps, cleaners and water wash around the area.
• Moisturisers and makeup.
• Picking and touching with fingers.
• Sun, tanning beds and artificial tanning products
• Chlorine pools, jacuzzis and saunas
• Hot, long steamy showers – please shower with the procedure site away from water spray as this will avoid the site exposure to water.
• All Aloe products.

Following the Procedure:

• Do not be alarmed by the darkness of the procedure site – the final colour cannot be judged until at least four weeks after the procedure.
• Don’t be alarmed by colour coming off when you apply any healing balms or jelly.
• Seek medical attention if you see signs of extreme redness or puss.

Long Term Care

• If you are planning a chemical peel, MRI or other medical procedures, please tell the operator that you have had a medical micro pigmentation enhancement – these devices can pull the pigment back.
• If you donate blood it is policy that you must wait four months after any tattooing procedure.

Areola and Nipple Complex

Wear loose fitting clothes for one week, and for two weeks do not wear tight fitting clothing over the procedure site,.

If you wear a bra use tissue discs for comfort and wear dressings for 5 days.

Keep the procedure site lightly moist using the healing balm or jelly provided for a minimum of 2 weeks.

Apply Vaseline when washing and showering and clean using damp cotton wool.

If the surface appears crusty do not force removal by picking, scratching or washing as this will remove pigment along with the crust.

Hair Replacement

Use cotton buds to apply any product and do not wash hair for 72 hours.

Clean using an antiseptic wipe.

If the surface appears crusty do not force removal by picking scratching or washing.

Scar Camouflage and Skin Re-pigmentation

If the procedure is on the face or head try sleeping propped up on your back to reduce swelling.

Keep the procedure site lightly moist using the healing balm or jelly provided for a minimum of 2 weeks.

Apply Vaseline when washing and showering, use a cotton bud to apply any products.

Clean using damp cotton wool.

Do not wear tight clothing over the procedure site for two weeks.

If the surface appears crusty do not force removal by picking, scratching or washing as this will remove pigment along with the crust.

Use a good sun screen daily.
